Pirate Eye: Exiled from Exile 2

Smitty has lost everything twice-over, and now nothing is out of bounds as he desperately seeks a score large enough to buy his way back to safety. His former crewmate, now a feared captain, means to ensure Smitty's continued misery, instead. They can't both succeed.

One has to wonder why anyone would ever say "it's the pirate's life for me".  Yes, there's the adventure and the treasure.  But there's even more of the risks and the double crossing.  I would have to imagine that's at least partly why that life is in the past for our former pirate as we explore the second issue of Pirate Eye: Exiled from Exile.

Now that Smitty has secured "safer" passage at the expense of a friend, it's time to start formulating plan.  It is surprisingly less for revenge and more for making sure the bastard pirate from his past doesn't come after him again.  Time is already against him and the crew he's sailing with, and Smitty will employ every trick he knows to gain an advantage.  From the looks of it, he will need them.

There isn't too much of anything major different here in the art from book one.  The artwork itself is the same as it has been from all the issues I've read, which isn't a bad thing for consistency.  I will mention that a select number of panels were much brighter than most that came before and that was a nice change of pace.

Although you should at least have read the first in this part of the series, that's about the only requirement for prior knowledge.  While not completely your typical pirate story, there are enough of the elements there to have that same appeal.  So, grab yourself a bottle of whatever you fancy and sit down with this tale.
