WWE® Superstar Bray Wyatt™, Divas The Bella Twins™ Added To Wizard World San Antonio Comic Con, Sunday, August 1-3

Posted by Katie on 4:00 PM

Join Top Stars At Inaugural Pop Culture Festival At Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – WWE® Superstar Bray Wyatt™ and Divas The Bella Twins™ have been added to the celebrity roster at the inaugural Wizard World San Antonio Comic Con on Sunday, August 3, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
They replace WWE Superstar John Cena, who had been scheduled to attend but had to cancel due to filming.
Wyatt will pose for photo ops beginning at 11 a.m., then sign autographs from 11:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The dazzling and devious Nikki and Brie Bella will begin their dual and single photo ops at 1:30 p.m., followed by an autograph session at 2:30 and interactive Q&A panel at 4 p.m.
The Superstar known as Bray Wyatt seems to have stepped out of the collective population’s nightmares and into our reality. A man shrouded in mystique, not much is known about the apparent head of the Wyatt Family – other than he seems to have a mission to bring his macabre vision to WWE.
Recently, Wyatt survived Dean Ambrose on SmackDown to claim a spot in the unprecedented WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match at WWE Money in the Bank on June 29. He also battled United States Champion Sheamus to a Disqualification on Raw - one that showed the continued problems between The Wyatt Family and WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos.
A self-admitted “tomboy” with a feminine side, Nikki originally planned to play professional soccer until a leg injury ended her career. From there, she followed her twin sister Brie’s lead into WWE.
Unsuccessful in seizing spots in the 2006 WWE Raw Diva Search, the Bellas caught the eyes of execs and soon landed in FCW. Training for the competition they’d soon crush (while male WWE fans formed crushes on them), Nikki and her sibling made their way onto the main roster in 2008 and turned heads whenever they set foot inside the ring.
Brie debuted on SmackDown in 2008, defeating her first opponent, Victoria, by way of “Twin Magic” — a move in which she and her identical sister, Nikki, secretly switch places during matches. In 2011, the sneaky tactic helped Brie defeat Eve and win her first Divas Championship.
Every bit as cunning as she is cute, this half-Mexican, half-Italian beauty appeared on ECW, WWE NXT, and both SmackDown and Raw, where she teamed up with her doppelgänger in both love and war. The flirtatious pair was romantically linked to The Miz & John Morrison, Daniel Bryan and even Alberto Del Rio.
The three join John Barrowman (“Arrow,” “Torchwood”), Jon Bernthal of “The Walking Dead,” William Shatner (Star Trek, “T.J. Hooker”), James Marsters (“Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” “Torchwood”) and Manu Bennett (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, “Arrow”) among the celebrities scheduled to attend the event, set for August 1-3. It is the ninth of 16 events in the 2014 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) and will also feature a top-drawer collection of well-known comics artists and writers and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions.

'Draco Malfoy' From 'Harry Potter' Joins 'Happy Days' Actor, Successful Producer, Director As Additions To Inaugural Event At America's Center; Stan Lee, Laurie Holden, Billy Dee Williams, WWE® Superstar Randy Orton®, Superstar Comics Creators Also Headlining

NEW YORK and ST. LOUIS – Tom Felton, best known for his portrayal of “Draco Malfoy” in the Harry Potter series, and Henry Winkler, who first became a pop culture icon as “The Fonz” in the classic TV series “Happy Days,” have been added to the standout celebrity roster at the inaugural 2013 Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con, March 22-24 at America's Center.  The two join previously announced guests Stan Lee, Laurie Holden, Billy Dee Williams, WWE® Superstar Randy Orton®, James Marsters and Dean Cain among the headliners.

Felton, who began filming commercials at age eight and auditioned for the Malfoy role at age 12, appeared as the increasingly prominent villainous character in all eight films based on J.K. After taking the entertainment world by storm in his breakout role as “Fonzie” in the popular sitcom “Happy Days” (1974-84), Winkler established himself as an award-winning producer and director, mixing in a few well-placed acting roles like Scream, Waterboy and last year's Here Comes the Boom along the way.  After achieving success as “Fonzie,” originally written as a minor character but which soon earned him billing alongside other series stars Ron Howard and Tom Bosley, Winkler quickly transitioned to produce the successful television series “MacGyver” and direct the film Memories of Me, among dozens of off-screen credits over the past four decades.

Felton will appear at Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con on Saturday, March 23, and Sunday, March 24, while Winkler is scheduled to attend all three days.

Posted by Katie on 12:11 PM

De Lancie Seventh 'TNG' Star For 25th Reunion At New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center; Stewart, Anderson Will Not Attend

NEW YORK and NEW ORLEANS, November 13, 2012 – John de Lancie, who portrayed “Q” on several iterations of the legendary “Star Trek” franchise, and Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the wildly popular “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” have been added to the roster of guests attending Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, Nov. 30 – Dec. 2, 2012, at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.  De Lancie joins six other “Star Trek: The Next Generation” cast members in the 25th reunion of the iconic TV series.

Both are scheduled to attend all three days, will meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photo ops.  De Lancie will be part of the Star Trek: TNG special programming, and Eastman will discuss 'TMNT' in an interactive Q&A session.

Additionally, Wizard World has announced that Patrick Stewart has canceled his New Orleans Comic Con appearance due to filming in Winnipeg, and that Gillian Anderson will also no longer be attending.

Along with de Lancie and Eastman, comics legend Stan Lee, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Eliza Dushku, Reservoir Dogs headliner Michael Madsen and WWE® Superstar CM Punk® top the standout lineup of celebrities scheduled to attend the event.  They will be joined by an All-Star collection of well-known artists and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions in the final event on Wizard World's 2012 calendar.

In addition to de Lancie, members of the 'TNG' cast reuniting in New Orleans include Jonathan Frakes (Commander William T. Riker), LeVar Burton (Lt. Among his many acclaimed stunts are the production and acting in several audio dramas based on classic science fiction stories for the production company Alien Voices, which he founded with Leonard Nimoy.

Eastman, who also owns, edits and publishes the magazine "Heavy Metal," created what began as a self-published comic and would go on to be a huge, worldwide phenomenon in the 1980s along with Peter Laird.  It wasn't long until "TMNT" was everywhere, spawning numerous TV series, a set of live-action movies and innumerable toys, games and other merchandise, even a concert tour.

Eastman adds to a standout lineup of superstar comic creators which includes Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams (“Batman,” “Green Lantern”), Eisner nominees Ethan Van Sciver (“Firestorm,” “Green Lantern”), David Mack (“Kabuki,” “Daredevil”), Jesus Saiz (“Resurrection Man,” “Birds of Prey”) and Ron Garney (“Captain America,” “Wolverine”), “Zombie King” Arthur Suydam (“Marvel Zombies,” “Army of Darkness”) and Michael Golden (“Hulk,” “Daredevil”) leading the way.
