Munchkin 3

Posted by Geek-o-Rama Admin on 11:00 AM

Based on the popular game of the same name, the Munchkin comic gives you a whole new way to enjoy the world with Spyke and Flower. In this issue, check out what it's like to be a monster who's door just got kicked in by some Munchkins!

While it's not quite the same as enjoying the game, a comic adaptation is still an amusing way to appreciate the content.  Granted, being able to engage in a rousing game of Munchkin is a lot more interactive.  Even so, the third issue of the comic allows us to enjoy another tale taken straight out of the game box.

The bulk of this issue actually spends its time continuing the adventures of Spyke and Flower from the last book.  We get to see them battling their way through the dungeon and getting all the loots!  That is a big part of what Munchkin is all about after all.  The second story squeezed in at the end honestly felt just like that, and it was not much of a contribution to the book sadly.

Although this isn't exactly an action packed thriller, we did get a lot of great artistic sequences with the two adventures.  The artwork for the first part was done exactly as their story was in the last issue which was nice.  As much as the second story didn't appeal to me that much, the artwork was at least nice to follow along with.

These comic versions of the hit game are silly and full of nonsense, but that is one thing that makes Munchkin so fun.  If it's anything like the game, you might just have to backstab your friend for a copy of the comic.  Either that, or you just could grab issue 3 of Munchkin yourself the next time you raid the store.
