Irresistible Wrap Up

Posted by Katie on 11:49 AM

Being the object of every woman’s desire is every guy’s dream, or at least that’s what Allen Keeg thought.  Now, he’s seeing the darker side of this desire and sets out to put a stop to it before it becomes too much for him to handle.  Read the conclusion to the stellar new series by writer Raven Gregory.  It’s irresistibly good!

Things are really getting out of hand for Allen Keeg.  After seeing the extent these women are willing to go to be with him, Allen now goes in search of the old woman who bestowed this supposed gift upon him.  After discovering what he must do in order to end the curse, Allen is now at a crossroads.  No matter which path he takes, a sacrifice will have to be made.  Only Raven Gregory is able to turn every guy’s greatest fantasy into their worst nightmare.  These last two issues really show the extreme side of being irresistible.  I mean, it’s gotta be a pain not being to go anywhere without every woman in the vicinity wanting to tackle you, so to speak.

Issue three is where things really start going downhill for Allen.  I liked how even though he has all of these women practically throwing themselves at him, he still only really wants to be with the one that got away.  I think it’s because it has a bit of a Y: The Last Man vibe to it that I’m drawn to it.  Don’t get me wrong those are two separate pieces of work, but to me personally it just feels like a slight homage.

The ending for the fourth issue I think is what I enjoyed the most.  He gets a sense of closure after everything he had been through, all just so he could feel wanted again.  It’s just such a fitting end to the series and not one you’d expect when you first read issue one.  If you gotta go though, I mean what a way to go.

In all honesty, there really wasn’t anything I didn’t like about either one of these issues.  The story was just that good that I didn’t find myself wanting for much.  Raven has put together quite series here and these two issues really bring it all together.  I’m very happy with what I read.  The only real problem I had was that the series is over already.

Issues three and four of Irresistible are a great polar opposite to how the series began.  They show how some things really are too good to be true.  Raven Gregory continues his impressive streak of sensational storytelling.  I definitely recommend grabbing these issues.  Like I said before, a fitting end to an amazing series.  For more info on where to pick these up, visit the Zenescope website or the Zenescope Facebook page.
