World of The Witcher HC

Posted by Geek-o-Rama Admin on 2:00 PM

Dive deep into the world of monster hunters, as prominent characters from The Witcher take you on a guided tour of the fascinating dark-fantasy adventure. This gorgeous, illustrated hardbound volume contains in-depth knowledge about the locales, the deadly beasts that inhabit them, and the lethal weapons used to put them down.

With the newest game in the hit series released today, what better time to get a companion book.  It's a perfect way to get into the mindset to play another, or to get new people interested.  Even if you've never played any of the title, you'll know more than your share by the time you finish World of The Witcher.

There is a lot to this book, so be prepared to set aside a good chunk of time as you immerse yourself in the Witcher world.  It starts off with an overview of the lands and the people who inhabit the various regions.  The second chapter is one of the more interesting ones, going into great detail of everything to do with the witchers themselves.  The third area goes over all things magic and religion, followed up by a look at all things beasts and monsters in the fourth chapter.  Closing out the book is probably the one most will want to read, telling all about the star of the game, Geralt.

Although there is a lot to read within this book, there is still a great offering of artwork to enjoy.  As with most books of this sort, there's probably some never before seen art which is always nice.  If you've never seen some of the visuals for Witcher, you're really in for a treat here.

I can't wait to pick up my copy of Witcher 3 today and get sucked into that for hours.  Luckily, I was able to fill in some time beforehand checking out this excellent book.  Fans and newcomers alike, this is a really in depth book that should not go unseen.
