Gronk: A Monster's Story Vol 2

Posted by Geek-o-Rama Admin on 8:00 AM

The second collection of Katie Cook’s popular webcomic! Gronk is a monster who is learning to adjust to OUR world through the teachings of Dale, a woman who probably shouldn’t be teaching anyone how to adjust to the real world. Join Gronk, Dale, Harli and Kitty for another year of fun!

Since my review of the first volume, I had the chance to share it with my daughter.  We also both grabbed a copy of the book available on FCBD.  Needless to say, there are now two big fans of Gronk in the family, and I'm sure she'll want to read this second volume of Gronk: A Monster's Story.

This next collection of the adorable monster Gronk and her adoptive family is just as wonderful as the first, if not more.  It has a lot of new stories showing all the things Dale must teach her about this world, from the wonders of technology to the expression of art.  Oh, and learning about cuss words, because that's always a challenge for parents.

As with any webcomic you follow from the start, you typically see the artwork evolve as it goes on.  While to most the changes are subtle, I saw some changes from the early work in book one.  Regardless, the lineart Katie produces is just fantastic, and once again, Kevin Minor makes it all the better with his colors.

By the end of the first volume, I had already come to love this endearing story.  After getting the chance to read this second, I am completely a fan and cannot wait to read more.  I've seen firsthand how great it is to share it, and would highly recommend getting this book.
