Original Digital Comic about Vampires Releases with Unique Animation Style

Woodbridge, VA (Monday, June 23rd, 2014) - C5studio is proud to present the first season of their comic TAINTED LOVE as a groundbreaking animated digital comic on Monday, June 23rd, 2014.

The comic will release online and is designed “specifically for a web audience,” according to illustrator John Hernandez.

“Initially, we had scrapped the idea of doing a motion comic because it was too ambitious and too daunting for just a one-person art ‘team’. The idea of another 'page-a-week' didn’t appeal to me either, nor did it really make any real use of the digital medium. But suddenly, the idea of story-telling as a series of GIFs seemed much more realistic and very interesting to me as an illustrator and a life-long fan of animation,” he says.

After winning Best Indie Comic and a nomination for Best Comic at the 2013 Geekie Awards, the company is set on officially publishing their first comic.

Written by David Carr and illustrated by John Hernandez, TAINTED LOVE tells the story of lovers, Daniel and Sarah, whose lives change forever after a horrific attack. “Our Love Dies At Dawn” takes place before the events of C5studio’s Award-winning print/digital comic of TAINTED LOVE.

“We've known each other since high school and we dreamed of making comics and being in print. This is our first step there. We had a small run of Tainted Love- the print comic but we want to try something new and give it another go after winning the award. The web comic is our free introduction to get people familiar with the characters and world of Tainted Love,” said Hernandez.
