Help Tristan and the Cuddly Defenders become an all ages comic about plushy toys protecting children from the Monsters under the bed.
Over the last two years crowd sourcing has helped bring A Teddy Bear Tale, the story of Tristan the Teddy Bear who defends his child from the Monsters under the bed, come alive. With your help a collection of words and one pencil sketch became an enchanting fully color illustrated story for all ages and lovers of Teddy Bears.
Riding of the joy we spread with the first book I released A Teddy Bear Tale II. Which saw our furry hero under take a new adventure when he took on the Green Headed Monster to defend a Train stuffed full of toys.
At the end of the second book Tristan was left stranded in the World within a World with his new companion Wilma Bunny overlooking a strange landscape and with many new adventures for this Teddy Bear to have.
At the end of the second book Tristan was left stranded in the World within a World with his new companion Wilma Bunny overlooking a strange landscape and with many new adventures for this Teddy Bear to have.
I want to tell these adventures in comic book form and help bring them to a whole new audience that would not necessarily pick up one of A Teddy Bear Tales illustrated books, and it is my hope that with your pledges Kickstarter will help make this happen.
The book is called Tristan and the Cuddly Defenders and will feature Tristan, Wilma and a new character called Archer as they take on and thwart the plans of the Evil Bogeyman and his Monsters under the Bed.
The Graphic Novel would be broken up into short 8 -10 pages comic book stories and will also have a prose tales to bridge events between the comic strips. It is a very ambitious project, but this book is the essential next step in Tristan's Adventures that will lead to the third and final book in this Teddy Bears tale.
The Graphic Novel will be 6"x9" book and is planned to be approx 48 page and will be printed in full color.
The stories will be written by Nick Davis in the glorious gleefully prose style of the Teddy Bear Tale books.
Dan Nokes the Teddy Bear Tale Artist returns to illustrate the stories and is a master at sequential (comic book) story telling. Plus for the first time Nick Davis will also be lending his pen to the art by drawing a comic strip for this book.
This all promises to be something very, very special and I hope you pledge to help this unique project happen. Thank you for your time, help Tristan live!
