The second issue of Stephen Coughlin's new digital comic book
series Sanctuary drives us deeper into mysteries and questions. The death of
one of the research stations inhabitants opens up an investigation from both
the human and animal inhabitants of the island.
The Good
It’s always great to see a follow up issue explode off the
page, and Sanctuary 2 does just that.
The story definitely took a turn I was not at all ready for, but that
drastic twist is quite interesting.
Character development was strong as well, giving us a lot more
interaction with the animals.
The Bad
The one little thing I didn’t care for so much was the small
romantic piece with some of the human characters, mostly as I thought it
detracted from the main focus on the animals.
The Summary
The book opened up exactly as I hoped it would, giving us our
first big insight into the secrets on the island. This second issue does a great job of pulling
the reader in much deeper and grabbing your attention. This dark plot is really picking up now, and
is well worth getting into.
