What happens when the most evil and
powerful female characters in the Grimm Universe join forces?
You'll find out in this new
miniseries that brings together an all star cast of girls that were born to be
bad. The Mistress of Limbo has gathered together a team of allies from across
the four realms of power. Will anyone be able to stand against the united power
of Baba Yaga, the Goblin Queen and the Queen of spades? Don't miss the baddest
series in the history of Grimm Fairy Tales.
Now this is a Legion of Doom I
can get behind! Joey Esposito weaves a
tale akin to the classic super-villain team-ups from the big two. You’ve got four of the biggest female
heavy-hitters in the Grimm Universe coming together to take out Sela Mathers
once and for all. You just know that
this won’t end well for Sela or anyone who gets in their way.
Very well written on Joey’s part. He’s given this book a very superhero-ish
feel, which is always a big plus for me.
You can definitely see it in the way the Bad Girls hatch their schemes and
just the way that Sela handles herself throughout. The artwork also lends itself well to the
story. It’s more stylized and
fantastical, well suited for this less than realistic series.
The biggest problem for me was
that I’m rather behind on the main Grimm Fairy Tale series, so a few of the
characters weren’t really well known to me.
In addition, I didn’t really know the whole situation, but if you’re caught
up on everything from Zenescope, you should be ok.
Aside from my ignorance, I would
definitely recommend giving this book a read.
It not only gives you all the action of a hero story, but melds in
Zenescope’s signature sexiness. I
definitely wouldn’t mind having these Bad Girls as my arch-enemies. For more info on where to pick this up visit
the Zenescope website or
the Zenescope
Facebook page.
