Sanctuary #1

Posted by Katie on 2:51 PM

The arrival of a panda bear at an island research/game reserve threatens to change life for both the animals and the researchers living there.

The Good
I had no idea what to expect from this story about wild animals, but was very pleasantly surprised.  It was a lot fun following all of the Sanctuary characters introduced in the first book.  I also really liked how the animals were designed and the art was nice and clean.

The Bad
I’d love to have seen a book like this in color, but I enjoyed it regardless of that minor detail.

The Summary
This story about the inhabitants of an animal reserve certainly gives us something very interesting to read.   The topic itself is also one of its strengths in that pretty much anyone could get into this series.  It definitely has a darker tale just waiting to come out, and I’d love to see what it is.
